Two Minute Phone Interview
Recently I had a phone interview. I had applied for many different jobs and had put my resume on the net. One recruiter called me the other day. She called from her cell phone to my cell phone and the reception was not very good. She had seen my resume on the net and wanted to interview me for a position working with Linux kernel. I told her I have very little knowledge of the kernel and I was the wrong person.
She then asked me what I may be interested in and I told her that it should be Java/J2EE QA related. She said she may have a job and wanted to interview me. She asked me what is the difference between "finalize", "finally" and "final".
I asked her whether she was quizing me on the "English Language!" She said she was quizzing me on Java language. I told her that I don't remember having used "finalize" (I had not programmed in the last 100 days)! She asked me whether I know the algorithm used in garbage collection. I told her I have no clue what algorithm is used underneath.
The recruiter told me that it (the interview) was going no where! I thanked her for her time and there ended the two minute interview.
