Day After Lay Off!

For years, I worked for The Big Blue
Which in it's name has stripes
Now I am singing The Blues
Never ever earning the stripes.
For years, I worked like a machine
For a company that makes machines
Giving all, I did my best
Now I have been put to rest.
I worked on all kinds of systems
Little and Big Endian Systems
Worked on The Big Iron and The Little Iron.
Now I am a discarded piece of scrap metal
But I keep hope alive
As there is applause after singing The Big Blues!
